When you submit an application, for the scholarship, we collect the following personal information you give:

  • name,

  • address

  • email address

  • phone number, and

  • Essays

 

We use this information to complete the following:

  • verify you are a SC student,

  • contact you with the scholarship decision

  • provide city level demographics to donors, subscribers, and for our records of impact, and

  • share your essays with donors to promote fundraising.

 

The following information below is used to determine data retention policies once you are notified of the scholarship decision. 

 

If you are not awarded a scholarship, we remove your application from our database within three months of notifications. We retain your city of residence to understand the impact of outreach. 

 

If you are awarded a scholarship, we remove your application from our database within three months of notifications. We retain your name and essays to promote you on our website, social media platforms, newsletter, and with our donors. We retain your email address and phone number to provide you updates for your scholarship. We retain your city of residence to understand the impact of outreach.

When you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect the following personal information your give: 

  • email address.

 

We use this information to complete the following:

  • send you emails about organizations updates, upcoming events, and other information relating to our mission.

When you register for one of our events, we collect the following personal information your give:

  • last name and

  • register you for the event and
